FreeQuality.org - Frequently Asked Questions

  • The FreeQuality application is not downloading properly. I click on a hyperlink of the application I am interested in using and nothing happens. What do I do next?

First, try right clicking the icon of the item you wish to download and select "Save Target As...". Usually, this is the easiest solution to download problems.

Second, if it's still not working, check to make sure you are using the MicroSoft Internet Explorer Web Browser
(older versions, such as 5.0 tend to work best).

Third, if you at home or are using a phone line (i.e. 56k modem), be patient. A few of the tools and training materials offered through this site consist of large file sizes. Therefore, they require a more time to download.

Fourth, the minimum computer operating system and software requirements for proper download are: 32 MB of RAM, Windows 95,98 (sorry mac users), MicroSoft Office 98 - this includes PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access (please note that newer tools may lose functionalities because they were programmed in MS Office 2000).

Fifth, please check with you IT or Network Manager. Many companies are installing anti-virus software that impedes a user from downloading any file outside the companies firewall.

  • Ok, the application I am interested in is still not downloading. I have made sure my computer meets the minimum system and software requirements and have been given the green light from my IT or Network Manager. Where do I go from here?

We do not know why but we find many times that it works if you try downloading the application from a different computer terminal. So, ask a buddy or a co-worker if you can use their machine while they are out or at lunch.

  • I really dig "quality" stuff and love this Web site. How can I know when new tools and training materials become avaliable?
